秋の収穫に感謝する日で、七面鳥を皆で食べる風習があり、同国の祝祭日の一つです。
感謝祭の日にちは毎年11月第4木曜日ですが、金曜日も休みにし、土日と合わせて4連休にする企業も多いです。
今回のロゴ画像はゲストアーティストJulia Coneによるもので、紙を切り貼りした作品を実写撮影してあります。

イギリス領インド帝国(当時)の生まれで「Dr. Verghese Kurien」という名前の表記もあります。「Father of the White Revolution」として知られており、「Milkman of India」とも呼ばれていました。
インド最大の食品製造組織の一つ、GCMMF(グジャラート州酪農協同組合連合会)の創設者で、インド最大の乳製品ブランドAmulは、この組織のものです。
現在、インドの牛乳生産量は世界トップ3以内に入っています。
