11歳の時に絵を描き始め、18歳で初めての展覧会を行いました。
1956年にはイタリアに渡って絵画の勉強をし、現地の展覧会やコンテストに参加して重要な賞を貰いました。
彼は鬱病に罹っていましたが、タバコの火の不始末でベッドが火事になり、その時の火傷が原因で1978年1月26日に死亡しました。44歳でした。
