アルゼンチンの医師、社会運動家で、女性権利のための活動を行いました。
女性のための団体を設立したり、1910年にはブエノスアイレスでの第1回国際フェミニスト会議(Primer Congreso Feminista Internacional)開催に尽力しました。
女性参政権に関する運動も行い、1945年4月12日に死去しましたが、1947年にアルゼンチンの女性が選挙権を獲得しました。
